1974-77 studies of classical music at the Classical Musicacademy Detmold, Germany, as classical orchestra-drummer and studioengineering.

1976 Marlon Klein found his first Band The Real Ax Band and worked as bandleader, producer & musician. Feat. the singer Maria Archer (London/Ghana).

1978 joining the German Band Missus Beastly together with the Dissidenten founder Friedo Josch.

1980 Producer , Musician and Member of the Berliner New Wave Band 1. Futurologischer Congress.Collaborations with Nina Hagen, Einstuerzende Neubauten, Dieter Meyer (Yellow).

1980 Marlon Klein, Uve Muellrich and Friedo Josch found DISSIDENTEN in Berlin and India. This project with the American saxophonist Charlie Mariano (USA) and the Karnataka College Of Percussion (India) receives attention worldwide. Performances at a series of the most prestigious festivals in the world following. Producing of all Dissidenten records worldwide including the Hit "Fata Morgana" from the successor album Sahara Elektrik.

1984 Jasper van't Hof asked Marlon Klein to join Van't Hofs african project Pili Pili. Touring and producing up to now with several known artists like: Angelique Kidjo, Izaline Calister, Mabinthy Sackho, Manfred Schoof, Frank Itt..

1988 moving from Berlin to Madrid. Producing several album for DISSIDENTEN, Pili Pili, Gary Wright, Tomas San Miguel, Raphael. Several tours and productions took place worldwide in Northafrica , India, USA, Hawaii, Brazil, Southafrica, Europe

1994 meeting with Gary Wright " Mr. Dreamweaver" in India. Producing in Los Angeles his albums " First Sign of Life " with George Harrison on guitar and vocal and his album Human Love.

1999 living in Ibiza and Germany. Performing and producing with Stefan Eicher (France)

1999-2000 Producing and touring with Pili Pili meets thePhikelela Sakhula Zulu Choir.

2000 Starting his project Marlon Klein & Path of Rhythm.

2002 Starting his project Esther Bertram & Marlon Klein Duo.
