I met Vange in Sao Paulo. We worked at her & Paulo Lepetit's Studio on a production for Irene Portela's Cd Rumo Norte. After the studiosession Vange gave me the basic tracks to work on song cover from Nina Simone's ''Funkier Than A Mosquito's Tweeter'. Home in Berlin I recorded drums & percussion, send it over and everybody was happy with the the very very special funk version of Nina Simone's song. You have to hear it !

NO.1 in BRAZIL again. My relationship with Brasil is a very intense one. Dissidenten's carreer was also very intense. We sold million of albums in the 80ties. Globo took our music for a big soap serie called Sassaricando. We never saw the bread, only lots of pirat copies found their way in my studio. But in 2000 i've been to Sao Paulo and couldn't believe it. Every day our music at TV and Radiostations again. So just in time Mr. Klein was at the right place in this world. With a little help of the our Brazilian gang we managed to got at least some benefit for this album. One of 15 other brazilian Dissidenten albums. Obrigado !

The CD was recorded in Durban-South Africa. A sideproject from the Pili Pili Production 'Love Letter'. Some singers of the Pili Pili Phikelela Sakhula Zulu Choir are also members of the Real Happy Singers. They invited my to one of their Choir competition festivals and the idea to produce this Cd was born in that night. Lovely people - a deep man choir - a sound for your soul !

Shiva is one of the powerful Hindu-Gods, like Vishnu and Brahma. Half man and half woman, he sits on top of the Himalayas and meditates. Adorned with the river Ganaga on his head, a cobra-snake around his neck and sacred ash smeared on his body, he is riding the ox Nandi who plays the Mridangam. Shiva is also a musician and dancer whose final dance ends in the destruction of the universe. Shiva represents the sublime which is connected to the earth by the river Ganga which finally ends in the ocean. The songs of Shiva Ganga represent a combination of the two.

The front singer from 1,F.C. Nico Weidemann. Jens Troendle and Marlon Klein produced this Maxi LP in the hip 80ties.

It was very exciting to produce this album in the wild eighties and to become famous by accident with this album, which first nobody wanted to listen to....A real story of what can happen with music & there fans beside the normal way of anglo-american pop-business....the real way of the dissidents.

Meine Lieblingsband in den 80ties. NDW auf hohem Niveau! "Der 1. FC macht eine stark an britischen Vorbildern orientierte, leichte, beschwingte Popmusik, die sich all die Produktionstricks leistet, die im letzten Jahr populär wurden", urteilte der MUSIK EXPRESS. Im Gegensatz zu den rein elektronischen Anfangstagen hatte der 1. FC mittlerweile -auf allerdings sehr individuelle Weise- Funk- und Souladaption ins Konzept eingebracht. Heyder, Tröndle, Weidemann und Klein beschlossen im Herbst eine konsequentere und konkretere Livearbeit für die Zukunft..

It was not my first band, but in the way of being a bandleader, composer, drummer & producer...it was ! The start of my life as a producer & musician.
